Breana Gilcher, MT-BC is a musician, oboist, Board-Certified Music Therapist, women's hormonal health advocate, and certified Reiki Master Practitioner.
She is a recent graduate of the Florida State University with a B.M. in Music Therapy with Specialized Studies in Performance, During her time there studying with Dr. Eric Ohlsson, she played in the University Philharmonia and University Symphony Orchestra under Dr. Alex Jimenez, as well as the Wind Orchestra under Professor Richard Clary. She quickly fell in love with playing in orchestra, learning the games of how to blend different instruments together and also how to fill up a hall with sound as a soloist. She graduated in 2014 after completing a six-month Music Therapy internship with Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, and started her MFA in Oboe Performance at the California Institute of the Arts with Allan Vogel in the fall of 2015.
